Gas Girls score 22 in record win against Gloucester City

Bristol Rovers Women's FC sealed the three points on Sunday after emphatic 22-0 victory against Gloucester City. Four players recorded hat-tricks in a record-breaking win at Lockleaze Sports Centre.

The goals from Georgia Vandries x7, Rossana Rocha x4, Zoe Fielden-Stewart x3, Libby Bell x3, Jamie-Leigh Worlock x2, Anna Hubble, Annys Turner and Kelly Cutler sealed the victory and lifted Bristol Rovers Women's to the top of the Gloucestershire Country Women's League.

Gas Girls Captain, Natalie Coles said, “The hard work that the girls have put in during lockdown clearly showed today. The girls did well not letting the standard drop given the score line. However, the Gloucester City players kept going right to the final whistle and that shows great character. They should all be proud of their efforts today and we wish them all the best for the rest of the season!”

Bristol Rovers Women's will now make the journey to Longwell Green on Sunday May 2nd before completing the season at Lockleaze Sports Centre against Abbeymead Rovers on Sunday May 9th.
