Bristol Rovers Women's FC were delighted to send some of our younger supporters a free gift along with an individualised signed letter by the first-team squad, over the last couple of weeks.
Since the relaunch in 2019, we have witnessed a growing interest in the club from young supporters and their families. Many of the families that we have spoken to are delighted that the 'Gas Girls' can be ideal role-models for their young girls.
Obviously it has been a difficult year for many of us, including our supporters. Some of which haven't been able to attend games and have followed our progress through social media. Other fans have also attended many of our games and their support is always greatly appreciated by all of the girls.
Building a friendly and inclusive environment for young families is an important element of our long-term plan to engage with more girls. The 'Her Game Too' movement has highlighted the importance of accepting female supporters and players within our game and to give more girls the opportunity and inspiration to achieve whatever they want to do.
Everyone at Bristol Rovers Women's FC would like to thank our young fans for their incredible support from what has been a difficult year for all of us. We can't wait to see you all again very soon!
