Community | Georgia Vandries awarded PFA Community Champion for 2020/21

Updated: May 22, 2021

Bristol Rovers Women's are also delighted to announce that Georgia Vandries has won the 2021 PFA Community Champion Award.

As well as recognising the impact made by PFA members in the community, the organisation is delighted to venture into the grassroots game and reward amateur players for their volunteering work throughout the season.

Vandries volunteered her time to play a major part in the successful delivery of the ‘Tackling Loneliness’ project. Whether it was through garden gate visits, food parcel deliveries or telephone calls, Vandries became a key member of the team and the project.

The 'Tackling Loneliness' project was also a major part of our recent success in the EFL Awards where Bristol Rovers collected Community Club of the Year for the South West and Wales region.

Without the help of Georgia's efforts and commitment to the project, we simply wouldn't have been able to make as much impact as we did for the vulnerable supporters within our community.

Congratulations Georgia!
