Bristol Rovers Community Trust and Bristol Rovers Women are delighted to announced our next Girls Talent ID sessions in partnership with the Gloucestershire FA and as part of the FA 'Discover My Talent' programme. We'd like to identify stand-out players to be considered for referral into this new programme aimed at girls within our communities. We are looking for players who could potentially be referred into the Women’s England Talent Pathway from any playing environment from Grassroots Clubs, Schools and Community environments. Our Talent ID sessions take place on;
Tuesday 6th June 2023 (For girls aged 14-16 years old)
Tuesday 13th June (For girls aged 10-13 years old)
At Lockleaze Sports Centre, Bonnington Walk, BS7 9XF
Starting at 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Everything you need to know ahead of the sessions
When players arrive, a member of staff will be present in the foyer to sign you in.
Once you have signed-in, you will be directed onto the pitch to take part in a warm-up, led by our fitness coaches.
Players will then be separated into groups to take part in some technical based sessions, followed by small-sided games.
Parents and guardians will be able to observe the sessions from the viewing balcony.
If the team would like to make a referral to the FA, they will contact the parent/guardian on the day or a short while after the session. This can take time, so please bear with us.
We also must stress that the consideration of referrals for the 'Discover My Talent' programme after these sessions, is not guaranteed to all players.
