Bristol Rovers Women's may have a comfortable lead in the South West Regional Women's League (Northern Division) but the 'Gas Girls' will still need to maintain their run of good form if they intend to clinch the League Title as early as possible.
So, can Bristol Rovers win the League today? (Sunday 16th January)
Technically it's a possibility, although other results in the League will have to go their way for it to be mathematically confirmed. The 'Gas Girls' will need to take three points against Oldland Abbotonians today, regardless. Anything less will mean that we roll over into the following weeks.
If Rovers win, then attention will be focused on Bristol Ladies Union and Almondsbury, respectfully. If both teams drop points and Rovers pick up another three, then the League Title is officially confirmed. A win for either Almondsbury and/or Bristol Ladies Union today will mathematically keep them in the run-in for another week.
Almondsbury will travel to Weston-Super-Mare while Bristol Ladies Union make the journey to face to Frampton Rangers.
